Trick Roping Humorist and Host Radio Personality
The Oklahoma Kid is a real cowboy, and relative of Will Roger’s! And from a ranch not much different than Will’s, he worked cattle and loved roping. Marty Ray Tipton, also known as The Oklahoma Kid is relative of Will Rogers by way of his Grandmother McSpadden. Marty may also be know for setting World Records and being the only roper in world to spin over a 100 Foot of Rope at every event for over a decade. Tiptons amazing feats never stop, Tipton also worked on the Broadway Production of “The Will Rogers Follies” acting and trick roping as Will Rogers. Tiptons been a trick roping cowboy entertaining publicly every since the age of 9 years old, (image below) where he made his first public performance at 101 Wild West PRCA Rodeo in Ponca City Oklahoma where Clem McSpadden introduced them for the first time.

Trick Roper Marty Tipton is about as close as one can get to the American cowboy of yore this side of the year 2000. And while his cowboy hat and boots, and even his livelihood as a professional trick roper add to this conception, the similarities extend beyond the standard cowboy imagery.
